Could You Be a Candidate for a GLP-1?
A quick, private check of whether you tend to fall inside the general criteria clinicians use for GLP-1 medications like Wegovy and Zepbound. It takes about ten seconds, and it is a starting point for a conversation with your clinician, not a prescription.
Is a GLP-1 right for me?
GLP-1 medications (like semaglutide and tirzepatide) are one path for weight and metabolic risk. Here's a 10-second check of whether you'd typically be a candidate.
1. Your BMI
Educational screening only — not a prescription or medical advice. Only a licensed clinician can decide whether a GLP-1 medication is right for you.
How eligibility is usually decided
For weight management, the general rule of thumb is a BMI of 30 or above on its own, or a BMI of 27 or above when you also have a weight-related condition. Those conditions include prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and sleep apnea, among others.
The reason for that second, lower threshold is simple. Carrying extra weight plus one of those conditions raises your health risk enough that the benefit of treating it changes the math. But a number is only ever half the story. Your clinician looks at your history, what you have already tried, your other medications, and whether a GLP-1 actually fits you before anything is prescribed.
